NFC artefacts paired with NFT assets

  • Phygicoil is an effort to seamlessly fuse the physical with the digital, manifesting as an NFC-integrated sculpture paired with its digital counterpart, an NFT. This creation stands at the crossroads of tactile art and the digital universe.

    Terminology:

NFC (Near Field Communication): A communication protocol enabling short-range communication between devices. In the context of this project, it's artistically integrated into a sculpture while retaining its functional capacity to connect with its digital twin.

NFT (Non-Fungible Token): A unique digital token verified using blockchain technology, representing ownership or proof of authenticity of a distinct digital item or piece of content. In "Intrinsic Phygital", the NFT serves as the digital representation of the NFC sculpture.

Phygital: A fusion of the words "physical" and "digital", describing objects or experiences that blend tangible, real-world elements with interactive digital augmentation or representation.

  • Materials: Gold, Silver, Brass, Bronze
    Collection: TBD
    Blockchain Platform: LUKSO

Interaction: Engage with the artwork by using your smartphone. Hover over the coil area of the object to scan its NFC component, linking you directly to its NFT digital twin via the Phygicoil app.

NFC: Beyond being just an aesthetic element, each NFC within the sculpture is a distinctive piece born from algorithmic generation. It's not just a form but also a fully functional electromagnetic inductor.

NFT: The corresponding NFT acts as a digital certificate, encompassing details about the sculpture, its ownership, provenance, and potential access to further elements such as the design process, 3d files, and augmented reality. as the project grows.
